Introduction

Anyone who has had an experience of mystery knows that there is a dimension of the universe which is not available to the senses.

– Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth

When Joseph Campbell speaks of the “senses” in the above statement, he is speaking of the five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, taste. But anyone who has had “an experience of mystery” knows that we also have a sixth sense. Maybe more. Dreams that come true. Knowing that something will happen without a logical reason for knowing it. Hearing someone speak to you, when they miles away from you and haven’t said a word. The sixth sense takes many forms.  All of us have it.  Some of us use it.  Others ridicule it. And some deny it.  But it is real.

This this blog-book is an attempt to document some of the mysterious experiences that I have had.  Throughout my life, I have experienced things that have no logical explanation. Some are simple… like knowing to duck when something was thrown at me from behind.  Others are complex… like a bird landing on the boom of my mainsail in the middle of the Gulf Stream moments before the shackle that held the boom in place broke free.  I have learned to accept the bizarre in my life and use it to find my way.  Using a combination of logic and feeling, I look to the universe to guide me, and it rarely fails. I’ve been living like this for over 30 years now, and I want to share some of my stories with you.

I also want you, the reader, to contribute.  Leave comments with your own experiences. Together, we can create a body of knowledge for others to learn from.  Let the nay-sayers stay away from this book.  This book is for people who believe in life’s mysteries.

Two rules when leaving comments: stick to the truth, and remain anonymous. There is a link to a contact form on the homepage, if you want to contact me directly, but I also get notified of all comments.  Please feel free to share your thoughts and experiences for all of us to read.

I live my life one day at a time, and I follow my instincts as much as I can.  This attitude has led to an unconventional lifestyle and many interesting experiences.  This is my forum for sharing them. I hope you will find it interesting.
